Obituary for Frederick F. Kellogg Jr.

Frederick F. Kellogg, Jr. of New York, NY and Little River, SC passed away on June 22, 2016 at the age of 88. He was a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology (1950) and Columbia University (1954). He was a licensed Professional Engineer in New York, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida. He was a member of the Princeton Club, Circumnavigators Club, Travelers' Century Club, Kane Lodge No 454, Mensa, and Intertel. He was a member of the Mayflower Society, Society of Colonial Wars, Society of Colonial Governors (National President 2009-2011), Sons of the American Revolution, Order of Founders and Patriots, St. Nicholas Society, Huguenot Society, and the National Gavel Society. Kellogg served as Chief Engineer for the Village of Larchmont, NY for over two decades where he pioneered recycling programs was administrative head of several departments. He also ran a part-time civil engineering consulting profession. He was active in sports, an avid golfer and member at Westchester Country Club, and in his youth won several championships in track and field as well as the 1946 Westchester county diving championship. Kellogg is survived by his sister, Dr. Joan Renz, by his sons Freddie and David, and by his grandchildren Alexander, Stephanie, Jennifer, and Brian. a service will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Church of the Incarnation, 209 Madison Avenue, New York City, NY. Interment will take place along side his wife, Dyanne, at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, New York.
