Life Story for
Peter Csepes
Peter Csepes passed on the morning of Wednesday, February 8, 2017 after a sudden heart attack in his home located in Sutton Place, New York. He was 67 years young.
Peter was born on March 26, 1949 in Hungary. He was an only child. In his younger years, he ventured to the Dominican Republic for medical school and practiced medicine in the country for several years. He eventually moved to the United States with his mother, Margaret Neri. Peter loved his mother dearly, they had an unbreakable bond.
In the United States, Peter became a successful entrepreneur, operating many different businesses. He kept ties with the medical community and served as a consultant for a medical equipment company for many years. For the last twenty years, Peter worked as a Senior Paralegal for Darby & Darby LLP and Paul Hastings LLP respectively. His extensive knowledge of the medical field combined with his superior work ethic made him a huge asset to the Intellectual Property groups at these firms with which he worked.
While at Paul Hastings, Peter took his junior paralegals and case assistants under his wing and guided them to the best of his ability. He became more than a co-worker to many; he was a mentor and, most importantly, a friend.
In addition to being dedicated to his job, Peter had an interest cars. He would take weekend drives out of the city and attend car shows.
His smile and friendly demeanor will be remembered. Peter was one of the most gentle, kind and thoughtful friends many of us have ever known.
Peter is survived by his partner, Karin Vella, with whom he rekindled a romance last year after being separated for 40 years. He is preceded by his mother Margaret Neri.
Services and visitation for Peter will be held on Wednesday, February 15th. One service will be held at 10:15 am at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church located at 143 East 43rd Street New York, NY. A second service will be held at the Redden Funeral Home at 4:00 pm, located at 325 West 14th Street, New York, NY. Visitation will be available from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Redden Funeral Home.
