Life Story for
Jacqueline Gibson Gazella
Gazella, Jacqueline nee Gibson on March 1, 2017 in New York City following a long Illness. She was born in 1944 in Youngstown, OH, the daughter of John M. and Margie Nehls Gibson. She graduated from Hubbard High School in 1962 and Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1965. She received a bachelor’s degree from Hunter College and master’s degree from New York University, both in New York City. Her career as a registered nurse spanned 30 years, concentrating in the areas of obstetrics, childbirth preparation, infertility, and later as a research co-ordinator and medical database manager. She was a contributing editor of BABY TALK magazine. An avid reader, she was a Life Member of the Bronte Society. She also enjoyed cooking and needlework and was passionate about recording her family’s history and genealogy. She was a member of the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York City.
She leaves her husband Joseph B. Gazella, whom she married on June 14, 1975; her daughter, Mary Christine Gazella Giosia(husband Gabriel); her grandson Ted Giosia and many cousins, nursing school classmates, and friends.
