Condolence: I spent countless hours of great times with Joe over the years. It was more than sixty years ago I first met Joe in cub scouts - his mother was my den mother. Best friend and neighbor on Mott Street since 1967. And most important of all, he was the favorite uncle companion and adviser to my son Benjamin. We will miss him terribly.

Condolence: To Joe's Beloved husband Sherwin and to all their friends and families:
Joe was a sparkling, inquisitive force in the world, caring and fiercely dedicated to finding truth and supporting justice. To be with Joe one would be interviewed with such focus and tenacity that I always came away feeling valued and enlightened, even about myself. His struggle with health and early death brings great sadness to me as I always think of him as one of the wise elders wandering through post-employment life. My grief at his departure is a measure of his gifts to me as I know grief must be for all who knew and loved him.
