Obituary for Franklin Alejandro Coronado

Franklin Alejandro Coronado Montenegro died peacefully on April 6, 2020 in New York City at the age of 79 of Covid-19 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s. He is survived by cousins in the United States and Panama and preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister.

Frank was born on June 6, 1940 in Panama City, Panama. He graduated high school from The Instituto Nacional de Panamá and attended university in Mexico and the University of Panama.

Ever the adventurer, Frank traveled the world and took every opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest. During his youth, he belonged to many clubs in Panama, including band, Panamanian folkloric dance group, martial arts, tennis and after moving to the United States, he became an avid skier on the slopes of Colorado, New England and many others in Europe, which he enjoyed with many of his friends. Frank was the inspiration for “Flow and Flair,” a therapy program in New York City for rehab patients with limited mobility.

Frank will be remembered for his quick mind, great sense of humor and love for his cousins and friends.
