Luis Albert Bayala(Louie)was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on July 10, 1955. He died at the age of 64 with his wife by his side on March 19, 2020 from COVID 19 at Weill Cornell while battling end stage renal disease.
He worked at different jobs over the years, the last being in the Bronx District Attorney’s office.
He lived in Brooklyn Heights for the past 29 years with his devoted family. He loved music, film, Broadway shows and traveling. He especially loved going to Lancaster, PA to the Amish country.
His beautiful smile, warm hugs and presence will be missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by his son Mark Bayala, Mark’s wife Lauren and his three stepdaughters Lizette Serrano, Lisa Hernandez, Christina Hernandez, his son-in-law Antonio Serrano and five grandsons by his present wife Regina Solano.
He is survived by his two daughters Elizabeth Bayala and Daisy Bayala and four grandchildren by his former wife Margie.
He is also survived by his two sisters, Ivette Bayala and India Bayala and his mother Carmen Davila.
There will be a private memorial at St. Francis of Assisi, in Glen Ridge, New Jersey on October 3, 2020.
