Richard J. Yelenock, of New York City, passed away peacefully at Tisch Hospital after a short battle with Lung Cancer on February 7, 2023. Richard was born in Manhattan, New York on February 10, 1939 to parents John and Anne (Boitson) Yelenock. Richard was a proud member of the United States Navy. Richard married the love of his life, Catherine, on May 21, 1960 and they celebrated 64 years of blissful marriage together.

Richard was a devoted Catholic who loved family, travel, photography and dining out. He had a wicked sense of humor and a great love for his family.

Richard is predeceased by his parents John and Anne (Boitson) Yelenock, his brother John Patrick Yelenock, and his great-nephew Finnegan Patrick. He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years Catherine (Barrett) Yelenock, his sister-in-law Marilyn (Kearns) Yelenock, his loving nieces, Stacey Yelenock, Debbie (Yelenock) Morgan and her husband Eric, Sharon (Yelenock) Summerer and her husband Dustin, and Jan (Yelenock) Pigott and her husband Michael, his adoring grand-nieces Emma June, Harper Grace and Hadley Sage, and many extended family and friends.
