Lynch, William J., 61, on 1/27/17. Recreation Manager NYC Parks Department.
Beloved son of Catherine (nee Brown) and the late Wilbur. Loving father of Allyson.
Also survived by the Brown and Lynch and Hart families, and many cousins and his extended Park's Department family. Reposing Redden's Funeral Home, 325 West 14th. St. NY,NY Wed. 2-5 and 7-9PM.
Mass of Christian Burial Thurs. 10 AM Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment St. John's Cemetery.

To love without limitations is to love unconditional. To know Bill is to love him. Many knew him as the wise Irish sports fiend, I knew him as dad. Dad the warrior. The man who would fight for you or will argue with you. This wonderful man had the heart of a lion. He had courage and wisdom! He had the strength of a thousand men. No one could tell him anything because Bill had all the answers, all the solutions!
Bill's love wasn't a selfish love. His desire to help others was similar that to fire that can't be put out. He would help anyone and not even know their name. It didnt matter who you were or where you came from; Bill took care of you!
He would always say to me "I don't care if I had to crawl to work I am going". He loved what he did for the kids and anyone who loved sports. I guess if you are a Mets, Jets, and a Knicks fan too, you would have a desire to win for your city. He wanted everyone to have a chance to succeed and be able to have a chance in life. He was living proof there are no excuses and follow your heart. Put your best foot foward and make this world a better place. I am forever grateful that he was able to touch lives! He was able to do for many families and communities. He fought for his city and his loved ones! He will forever live in our hearts and in our souls. We honor you William J. Lynch!

An Irish poem:

Remembered Joy!
I could not stay another day,
To love, to laugh, to work and play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy!
