Obituary for Peggy Rose Viera

Peggy Rose Viera passed away on July 5th 2016 at the young age of 64 after a 4.5 year battle with cancer. Peggy was a fighter, strong and courageous woman. Born in New York City to her mother Aurea Viera and father Ricardo Viera and raised in Manhattan. Peggy Rose graduated from Cathedral High School and continued her education at Fordham University receiving a BA in history. She had a lifelong career working for the city of New York. She retired as an auditor for the Mayor’s office. Although she didn’t have children of her own, Peggy was a mother and caretaker for all those around her, especially her mother Aurea and her sister Annette. Peggy had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest. A die-hard Mets fan, she enjoyed a good ball game at Shea Stadium now Citi Field. She loved a Broadway Show and frequented the Jersey Shore during the summer. Peggy Rose never missed a celebration be it a wedding, christening, or birthday and was the first one to start dancing. She was cultured and educated and a true patriot. Peggy Rose will be missed immensely by her loved ones:
Her sister Annette. her brother Richard (Junior) and sister-in-law Carmen and nieces Valeen and Bella (Lil J Lo).
Her aunts Nilda, Lydia, and Aida.
Her Cousins Linda, Robert, Michael, Laurie and Danny, Jesse Lenore and her ginger babies James, Joshua (JD) Jacob, David Alex, Danielle, Jonathan, Kaitlyn and Taryn. Her dear lifetime friends Deborah, Donna, Janet and her loving goddaughter Cara Marie.
All friends of Church Groups and Social Clubs namely: Lee, Eileen, Melissa, Lorraine, Sheryl…
Peggy Rose will live on in our hearts forever and in God's Eternal Kingdom.
" For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
